About Me

10917093_10152746174471167_3854288905196290503_nHi!  I’m Frankie.

I’m a fast-talking, ambiverted, twenty-something, born-again Christian of mixed Chinese, Filipino, and Spanish descent who feels compelled to publish online, often in real time, the minutiae of a life spent in perpetual motion.  I’ve been blogging since I was twelve years old (no joke), thanks to an article in a men’s lifestyle magazine (I was bored, it was lying in the lobby of my mum’s office, and did I mention I’ll read practically anything?  I’ll read practically anything.) on blogger Emma Story.

I hail from Metro Manila, Philippines, and if you don’t know where that is…don’t worry, a lot of people don’t.

Where I’m from.  Image credit to this site.  And, in case you haven’t heard, It’s more fun in the Philippines.

What I love to do.

I’m passionate about telling stories, whether it’s through theater (I’ve acted and directed), writing (I’ve written a children’s book called Nadia and The Blue Stars, which you can read online for free here.), music (I’m the lead singer for Stories Told, a Marikina-based pop-rock outfit, and I’m the primary organizer of Hideaway, a regular spoken word/indie music open mic night.), or a kick-butt marketing strategy.  I’m also fascinated by web video, and hope to someday write web-series such as The Lizzie Bennet Diaries and Emma Approved, which, if you haven’t seen, I encourage you check out, IMMEDIATELY.

A few more random facts.

I play a cherry-red Takamine EG440C-STRQ named Elinor, and a Kala tenor ukulele named Teddy (originally Henry, but my cousin wanted to add “Theodore” and the nickname kind of stuck).  My brain is a Wikipedia-like depository of weird and/or interesting but useless facts.  When I was in kindergarten, I was misdiagnosed as having ADHD.  I like #hashtagging things.  Occasionally, I dress up as a panda.

The jury’s still out as to whether or not I’m actually a sitcom character.

Where to find me.

While I’m usually homestuck in Metro Manila, occasionally I do travel (either physically or in my head), hence the title of this blog.  There are a few places though where you can keep track of my (mis)adventures.
