[poetry] Love Walks In: a short addendum to “When Love Arrives” by Phil Kaye and Sarah Kay

When love walks in
It won’t be on a technicality
Instead, no formalities
Are needed: no danger of
crossing before the light is green.
Instead, love will be a gate,
a hedge, a boundary.
Love will not toe the line, but draw it.
Love will stand back from the cliff.
Love will approach with caution,
move with reverence, dance
as gracefully as it is able.
Love will have excellent rhythm,
because it will keep perfect time.
